Psalms 119:27 Make me to understand the way of Your Commandments, and I will speak of Your wonderful works.
Bible Reading for September 5 (ONPP)
Isaiah 46 – 48, Proverbs 5
Isaiah 47:7 – God has never condoned cruel slavery. A servant was one that had a debt to pay or had no income and sold his services to someone. One reason Israel and Judah were carried away to Babylon was because they owed the land it’s Sabbath years of rest. One year of every seven and a double rest after forty–eight years.
Isaiah 47:8–11 – No matter how safe and happy your life is it is totally unsafe when you are turned away from God and His plan for your life.
Isaiah 48:1 – Your ancestors or where you live do not make you a child of God. You become a child of God when you make Jehovah Lord of your life and believe Him.
Isaiah 48:5 – God’s plan is sure to come to pass because He is active and sees to its completion.
Isaiah 48:11 – God completes what He starts, He does what He says, but sometimes He warns us of the results of our actions if we do not turn away from sin.
Isaiah 48:18–19 – Israel gave up so much to turn their back on God and follow their own selfish pride.
Proverbs 5:8–14 – These verses are as one paragraph and almost caught me misunderstanding their message.
