Hosea 1-7
Also, O Judah, a harvest is appointed to you, when I return the captivity of My people. Hosea 6:11
Hosea 1:2 – God reaches out to redeem the sinner while describing the nation’s relationship failure, His forgiveness is opening the door of a close personal relationship.
Hosea 1:10 – Even though the people dishonored God and left from following Him, God will have redemption ready for them.
Hosea 2:2 – Turn away from dishonoring God or be subject to the punishment of those that willingly defy Him.
Hosea 2:5 – Mark 4:19 and the cares of this world, and the deceit of riches, and the lust about other things entering in, choke the Word, and it becomes unfruitful.
Hos 2:19 – God's promise is forever and He will not break it even when we do not follow Him.
Hosea 2:23 – God draws His people back to Him and shows them great forgiveness.
Hosea 3:2 – God's command to Hosea represents His own payment made for the sin of mankind.
Hosea 4:2 – The progression of sin in this verse indicates that blood touching blood indicates that close relatives would be committing adultery with each other. Several other translations describe it as murder after murder.
Hosea 4:6 – When you turn to trust in the saving power of God's provision start learning of His path He has made for all of His children.
Hosea 4:9 – The church has become like the world instead of the world becoming like the church.
Hosea 4:17 – Ephraim is not mentioned with the other tribes in Revelation. As Judas was not included in the final part of the "Last Supper".
Hosea 5:4 – Yes you can get so absorbed in sin that it will not allow you to turn to God for forgiveness and redemption.
Hosea 5:5 – The multitude of sacrifices can not bring you to God.
Hosea 5:15 – The BIG IF starts to show up again here!
Hosea 6:2 – The third day IS after two days. On the Third Day Jesus was raised from death.
Hosea 6:3 – The rain reminds me of the living water Jesus promised to the Samaritan woman at the well.
Hosea 6:4 – The goodness of man evaporates quickly and is lost.
Hosea 6:6 – This comes back what Samuel said to Saul "Obedience is better than many sacrifices".
