James 1 – 2., Psalms 96

James 1:2 – Falling into temptation is not succumbing to it. Temptations are a test to overcome our own pride and lust and once overcame then we grow, little by little, toward the time when God perfects us.
James 1:5–6 – Yes ask in faith and search out the answer to your request of wisdom and God will give it without end.
James 1:7 – If you don’t have faith that God will answer your request why are you requesting wisdom? Humbly request faith, it is what you need.
James 1:17 – Yes, God gives good gifts and does not change his mind.
James 1:19 – I agree, keep your mouth shut until you have heard the full explanation. Otherwise you are the one that may put your foot in your mouth.
James 1:20 – Many times God has fought for His people and given them the calmness to call upon Him instead of taking their own revenge as David’s calm trust in the Lord is credited with him many times.
James 1:22 – A tree without fruit is cut away and another is planted in its place.
James 2:1 – It’s like he said in the last chapter. The rich and well–dressed is not to be treated any different than the poor and shabby. We all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.
A person that hears only and does not incorporate the Word of God into their life has not accepted Christ.
James 2:10 – By offending the Law at one point you are putting yourself before God and breaking also the first commandment.
James 2:18 – How do you demonstrate your faith? How do I demonstrate my faith?
James 2:22 – Works are not toward salvation they are free will offerings because of salvation. Your actions do not bring you to faith, your faith dictates your actions.
James 2:24 – Your works confirm your faith. As Jesus said to the woman brought before Him for adultery, Go and sin no more.
James 2:25 – Rahab believed that God was real and protected Israel. Her actions showed her faith. Did she not, in faith, put the red cord out of her window as the spies told her to do.
Psalms 96:5 – True! The gods of the nations were made by human hands and they are not able to make anything, whereas Jehovah created the heavens, the earth and all that live on it.
Psalms 96:13 – The judgement of the Lord is near. The earth travails in excitement of the anticipation of His coming.
