Psalms 119:27 Make me to understand the way of Your Commandments, and I will speak of Your wonderful works.
Bible Reading for November 5 (ONPP)
Ezekiel 42 – 44, Psalms 115
Ezekiel 43:1–4 – This is why some think that this is the third “Heavenly” temple because of the eastern gate entry and restriction.
Ezekiel 43:9 – This is a choice of the people, the BIG IF to put away their worship of themselves and their idols, turning toward the worship of God.
Ezekiel 43:19 – God is being specific about which family that He wants the priesthood to come through. Zadok was the faithful priest to David and Solomon thus God is rewarding his family for his faithfulness. Wouldn’t you like your family rewarded for your faithfulness to God in your position Why would there need to be a sin offering in the Millennium since the perfect sacrifice for sin, Christ Jesus, had already been made and declared finished? Some say it is to point back to that perfect sacrifice as it looked forward to it before Christ came. It however makes more sense that God has made a design that would keep Israel reminded of their place in His plan when He brings them back from exile. Man has never followed God’s plan so why would he follow this plan to worship Jehovah after returning from exile.
Ezekiel 44:7 – God will not allow strangers in heaven, those that have rejected Him for their own lusts, nor does He want strangers to preside in the sanctuary on earth.
Ezekiel 44:8 – Only the priests (sons of Aaron) and Levites were to minister in the tabernacle but they had brought in others to do their work.
Ezekiel 44:18 – God does not want them to be defiled by the appearance of work. God’s grace comes through faith not works.
Ezekiel 44:20 – Neither were the priests to stand out except in what they are clothed with. God will clothe all of His children with His Grace because all of us are dirtied and stained with sin.
Psalms 115:1 – Our true thankfulness is not to our possessions, ourselves, Mom, Dad or others but be thankful to God!
Psalms 115:17–18 – God told Adam that the penalty for disobedience is death. We all have rejected God’s plan for us during our lives and deserve the penalty. Our sinful nature does not allow us to praise Him and will not in eternity. God however knew, knows about this and has provided His path of redemption to life through the sacrifice to death of His Son Jesus to pay the penalty of disobedience. When we accept His offer of life we will be able and willing to bless Him forevermore!
