II Timothy 2:15 Study earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
Bible Reading for November 26 (ONPP)
Amos 4 – 6, Psalms 133
Amos 4:4 – God is telling Israel to continue to enjoy their sin because this is the best that they are going to get and the payment for their indiscretion is coming.
Amos 4:11 – The warnings that God gave Israel were many and varied. Because they were not worshiping God they disregarded them as “natural” events and went on to sin.
Amos 4:13 – Be afraid wicked ones be very afraid.
Amos 5:3 – In Isaiah 6:13 God also tells them that a tenth will be left.
Amos 5:5 – God is still here to give us guidance and protection.
Amos 5:6 – God reminds them of His BIG IF of redemption for them returning to Him.
Amos 5:27 – There is punishment for not obeying God and turning to selfishness and idols.
Amos 6:1 – Those of Israel trying to find help from their false god will not be effectual.
Amos 6:6 – These rebellious groups do not even care about the destruction of the tribe of Ephraim.
Amos 6:8 – When we put ourselves first, seeking our own glory is not pleasing to God.
Amos 6:12 – Horses hooves are not made for rocky terrain. We put shoes on them now to make them stronger. Neither can one plow in rock because the rock is not yielding.
Psalms 133:1 – David was glad that all Israel was unified and it’s aroma of unification was pleasing to the soul.
Psalms 133:3 – After such a long dearth of Godly leadership it is refreshing and exciting to get back to corporate worship.
