II Timothy 2:15 Study earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
Bible Reading for November 12 (ONPP)
Daniel 4 – 5, Psalms 121
Daniel 4:9 – Nebuchadnezzar is still clinging to his own god, even though he recognizes Daniel as the messenger of the true God, he does not worship Him.
Daniel 4:17 – God is giving Nebuchadnezzar another lesson to teach him that his worship of false idols is useless. God shows His love for Nebuchadnezzar by giving him these lessons so that he may turn away from idol worship and to the worship of God and be redeemed unto glory.
Daniel 4:30 – Pride cometh before destruction. The promise of the lesson was not enough the lesson must occur before knowledge can be received. One of our biggest problems in our sinfulness is pride. Eve knew she was not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil but she wanted to be elevated to know what God knew.
Daniel 4:34 – Now that the lesson has been taught and received, the knowledge received can be used to improve the usefulness of the student.
Daniel 5:22 – The lesson learned by one student, does not always teach another student, and a different lesson may be needed. Sometimes a student can’t learn the lesson and fails the class.
Psalms 121:3–4 – David showing prophecy about Elijah’s comment about the Baal worshipers saying that their god is asleep. God is the keeper of our salvation!
