Numbers 27 – 30, Psalms 58
Numbers 27:7 – These daughters are representative of their father who’s land is to be passed down. Just like a widow is to be redeemed by a near kinsman these are also to be redeemed by a near kinsman to keep the land in the family line.
Numbers 27:16 – Moses is being very humble in receiving his sentence for disobeying God. Moses is about 120 years old and is still asking God to care for the people.
Numbers 28:3 – As the offering was to be made daily to God we should also offer ourselves to God daily as a living sacrifice to honor Him and His Word. The daily renewal of the sacrifice is a reminder that they/we are God’s people and should perform the deeds appropriate to that position.
Numbers 28–29 – These offered through the year
1093 lambs,
113 young bulls,
37 rams,
30 goat kids,
plus other offerings of the congregation.
Numbers 30:3 – God is putting the responsibility and accountability on the man as He Himself was responsible to see that His covenant to Abraham was fulfilled.
