I Chronicles 22 – 24, Psalms 134

I Chronicles 22:6 – This is David’s plan for succession as he is reminded in 1Kings 1:17 And she said to him, My lord, you swore by Jehovah your God to your handmaid, saying, Surely your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne.
I Chronicles 22:14 – David had faith that God would fulfill His promise of David’s son to build the Temple to house the Ark. David’s faith was not a believe and know but his faith was a believe and prepare.
I Chronicles 23 – God cares for each individual. We are each important to Him. There are 3,237 individuals referenced in the Bible of which 1,443 individuals share various names. Even though there is more than one “John Smith” in this world God knows the heart of each one.
The Levites were divided by families and were expected to be able to do the tasks that they were assigned. We are also assigned tasks and must learn how to perform them whether it is singing, butchering, cooking, or sweeping our task is in God’s plan for us.
I Chronicles 24:6 – The descendants of Aaron were divided into 24 groups to rotate service as priests in the Temple. Each group represented a family with a leader that would perform the office of the High Priest while the others would perform other duties.
I Chronicles 24:20 – The Levites were divided by households and assigned by lot to work with the priests. Each of the 24 families of priests would be assisted by a corresponding family of Levites.
