Psalms 119:27 Make me to understand the way of Your Commandments, and I will speak of Your wonderful works.
Bible Reading for July 8 (ONPP)
I Corinthians 4 – 6, Psalms 12
I Corinthians 5:6 – Leaven causes the dough to puff up, become proud. It multiplies by devouring the nutrition in the dough. The outside looks good but the inside is full of holes. Just as sin spreads and multiplies when allowed to enter.
I Corinthians 5:7 – We should turn away from sin and sweep the temptation producing events from us so that sin is pushed far away that we may live in freedom of conscience. As when Israel put away the women that were in the land that they had taken unto themselves after returning from Babylon in Ezra 10. Or as when they removed the leaven from their houses for Passover in Exodus 12 & 13.
I Corinthians 5:10 – We cannot escape interacting with people but if we did we would not be able to spread the Gospel.
I Corinthians 6:4 – The things of this world are so unimportant compared to the relationship to God and others that the least studied of the church are able to judge properly.
I Corinthians 6:7 – If a brother in the church defrauds you whether by plan or unknowingly count it as your love for God and the church and not be distraught about the loss.
I Corinthians 6:11 – When you are changed by your salvation your prior sin nature should be swept away and replaced by the Spirit of God.
I Corinthians 6:12 – Even though God’s salvation is permanent we are still to provide a witness of righteousness that the unsaved will fear God.
Psalms 12 – This chapter also goes well with Job.
