Proverbs 14 – 16, Psalms 32
Proverbs 14:1 – Solomon again refers to a woman when talking about wisdom and foolishness.
Proverbs 14:6 – The cross is foolishness to the unbeliever but precious to the Christian!
Proverbs 14:12 – The Prophecy of Deuteronomy 12:8 or the warning of Deuteronomy 13:18 or their actions in Judges 17:6 or Judges 21:25 about men doing what was right in their own eyes preceded attacks and loses of freedoms. But if they had done as in II Kings 10:30 where they had done what was right in God’s eyes, they prospered.
Proverbs 14:14 – When a man is filling his life with his own ways he has no room for God. He will do anything to continue filling himself, even pretending to be upright and honest. When a man is satisfied with what God has made of him he is satisfied in himself.

Proverbs 15:8 – As Cain’s offering was refused and Abel’s offering was accepted. They both had the same example God gave to Adam and Eve in the killing of the animal for a covering. Thus taking on a work of sacrifice is as filthy rags vs trusting in Christ and the sacrifice that Jehovah provided that leads to eternal life.
Proverbs 15:10 – Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father except through Him.
Proverbs 15:11 – God has made preparation for the disobedient angels and also for men. The angels will be sent to the lake of fire but man has a choice to be obedient and be forgiven or turn away from what is prepared for them and follow the disobedient to destruction.

Proverbs 16:2 – Our pride blinds us to our sin.
Proverbs 16:3 – Glorify God for what you have and He will guide your thoughts.
Proverbs 16:4 – God don’t make junk. It is all there for His purpose. Even the choices of the wicked are there as an example of what not to do.
Proverbs 16:7 – Not even our enemies can be against us when we please God. The Israelites did not have trouble until they turned away from God.
Proverbs 16:9 – You may strive to be an actor, baker, doctor, fireman, lawyer, farmer, mother, nurse, policeman or any other professional but let God guide your daily actions.
