Bible Reading for July 16 (ONPP)
Job 19 – 21, Psalms 19
Job 19:5 – Job’s “friends” puff themselves up and kick Job while he is down.
Job 19:13–19 – Job’s family has ignored his loss and trauma. His servants turn away from him. Even his wife won’t get near him. She had already told him to curse God and die. These his “friends” tell him how bad he must have been to be in this shape.
Job 19:25 – Job knows his redeemer lives. The book of Job is supposed to have been written before any other scripture. Job is referring to the seed of Eve as the redeemer and since Job says that redeemer lives then the seed of Eve that crushes the head of Satan is preexisting and the only one that could redeem is one that has no debt and thus is the perfect sacrifice being able to pay the price without owing it Himself. The Son of God not the son of Adam.
Job 20:4 – Zophar knows that man was sat on earth, not came from it (evolution) but placed on it (creation) .
Job 21:7 – The happiness of the wicked on Earth is the closest they will get to Heaven because they are on the path to Torment.
Job 21:9 – The rod is not taken to another’s child to correct them. These wicked are children of Satan by choice and have turned away from God. A good parent will discipline their child to honor God and punish them when they are disobedient.
Psalms 19:1 – We have no excuse in not recognizing God because of His handiwork of creation.
Psalms 19:3 – All people have the knowledge of the creation. It is right before them.
Psalms 19:10 – The judgments of the Lord are sweeter than honey and better than gold.
Psalms 19:13 – The sin of presumption, of innocence, of ability, of self, … Job had some of this yet he also knew of God’s righteousness.
Psalms 19:14 – David recognizes that God is the redeemer and requests his words and his hearts desires be acceptable to God.
