Psalms 119:133 Order my steps in Your Word; and do not let any iniquity rule over me.
Bible Reading for January 3 (ONPP)
Genesis 8 – 10, Psalms 2

Genesis 8:21 – Our imaginations, inward thoughts are evil from our youth. How do we hope to do well and not be thrown into the suffering of Hell? God gave Noah grace. Noah did not deserve God’s favor but God gave it as He gave His only begotten Son as a sacrifice for our sin. I Corinthians 15:22 – For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all will be made alive.
Genesis 8:22 – Man is not in charge of the climate of the Earth, God is.
Genesis 9:2 – This is why we can’t just go out and pet a cute little bunny rabbit or a dear and take them back home and have them for supper.
Genesis 9:3 – As in Genesis 1:29-30 God has given every animal and plant as food.
Genesis 10:21 – Shem the father of the sons of Eber (Heber – where the name Hebrews came from). Eber was the great-grandson of Shem and the longest lived of those born after the flood. It states that Japheth was older than Shem but in the description of their birth Shem is referenced first and that is probably a reference to the age given to Noah at Shem’s birth.
Psalms 2:3 – The bands of the Lord or His anointed are not bands of confinement but bands of family.
Psalms 2:7 – The prophecy of the Son of God.
