Exodus 35 – 37, Proverbs 6
Exodus 35:5 – If your offering is not from a willing heart then you are not putting God first you are putting something else first whether it is your pride, your perceived social position or just thinking you will get a reward from God.
Exodus 35:7 – Why would God use badgers sins? Badgers are not a clean animial. The reference to the word translated badgers here means a type of antelope which does chew it’s cud and have a split hoof. and is therefore a clean animal.
Exodus 35:21 – God can do more with a willing heart than a multitude of offerings. It is better to obey God than have many sacrifices. I Samuel 15:22.
Exodus 36:5 – When they see the work going forward their giving became over abundant and God’s wisely chosen managers asked for the giving to stop. This kept their wealth closer to provide for their need.
Proverbs 6:6–8 – It is known in Solomon’s time that the ants that do the work of the colony are all female!
