Bible Reading for February 28 (ONPP)
Numbers 8 – 10, Proverbs 9
Numbers 8:5 – As Aaron and his sons had to be consecrated to perform the sacrifices so the Levites need to be consecrated for the work in the temple.
Numbers 8:26 – When the Levite is fifty years old he does not have to do the hard labor but is allowed rest for his twenty years of service and five years of training. Though after fifty he is called to an administrative and ministerial duty in the service of the Lord.
Numbers 9:6 – With 170 deaths per day there are going to be several that fall into this group.
Numbers 9:12 – Again God reinforces the rule to not break any bones of the Passover Lamb.
Numbers 9:13 – If you are able to serve God and are called to do it then you should.
Numbers 9:17 – When God calls it is our duty to rise up and start the journey, whether it is to teach, visit, serve, cook, listen, or many other callings that the Lord may make.
Numbers 9:19 – Also when we are in a position serving God we should stay there until we are called to another service.
Numbers 10:3 – Both trumpets blown together brings out the whole congregation.
Numbers 10:4 – Just one trumpet blown bring out the leaders of the congregation. That probably would be around 600 men.
Numbers 10:5 – Call upon God when you are in trouble, in joy, in sadness, and also regularly.
Numbers 10:9 – God does not forget them between the blowing of the horns. God wants them to remember that He will be with them in fighting, sacrifice, gathering, and movement.
Numbers 10:31 – What is wrong Moses has not God gone before you and knows the path that you should take? Why is this fear of the unknown in you? You would trust your father–n–law and not trust God? Yet, would I be any different?
