Matthew 11

Matthew 11:14 – John was faithful to God’s command to preach, while not given signs to perform, his ministry brought the hearts of the fathers to the sons and the hearts of the sons to the fathers. Even after seeing the Spirit descend upon Jesus, John was unsure of Jesus being the Christ but he still had faith that Christ was the savior that God had determined from the foundation of the world. Jesus confirms to the people that John was the fulfilment of the prophecy that Elijah was to come. This also means that Jesus confirms His position as the Christ the redeemer, the savior, and the deliverer of the great and dreadful day of Jehovah.
