Matthew 5-7
Matthew 5:8 – The pure heart is one that is trusting in God’s salvation not the works of man.
Matthew 5:9 – Being a peacemaker at heart is difficult with those that do not trust God. Our heart must be void of offence; our presence must have a peaceable disposition and our voice have a peaceable conversation, while trying to repair the breaches.
Matthew 5:10–12 – The world persecuted Jesus and they will persecute us also because the world does not perceive life when they think of Jesus but they perceive condemnation and death.
John 15:20 Remember the word that I said to you, The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they have kept My saying, they will also keep yours.
Matthew 6:1 – Do not look toward man to reward you for your good deeds for in their jealousy they vilified Christ for His good deeds.
