Psalms 119:133 Order my steps in Your Word; and do not let any iniquity rule over me.
Chronological Bible Reading for May 5
Psalms 1-2, 15, 22-24, 47, 68

Psalm 2:1 – ME? I’m not vain! Oh yes I am, but I realize that and try to counter it with repentance. Not punishment, but understanding of my own reasons for my actions. It is difficult to not second or third guess myself.
Psalms 2:3 – The bands of the Lord or His anointed are not bands of confinement but bands of family.
Psalms 2:7 – The prophecy of the Son of God.
Psalms 22:1 – This first verse is referenced in Matthew 27:46 as being fulfilled prophecy. – The first part of this chapter is a direct prophecy of The Christ and The Crucifixion.
Psalms 22:7–18 – A very good description of what happened to Jesus when he was crucified.
Psalms 22:8 – These words were recorded as being said about Jesus in Matthew 27:43
Psalms 22:18 – As recorded in Matthew 27:35.
Psalms 23:4 – The shadow of death is just that a shadow. Step a little to the right or left and you can see the light of life. Christ is the light of the world yet many people hide in the shadow in fear of the light that shows their failing. The light reveals the shadow that death casts and they fear that death, but in the light death is not seen and life is revealed, giving those that follow the light anticipation of eternal life that is promised by God.
Psalms 24 – what a worshipful Psalm.
Psalms 47:1 – What a celebratory Psalm! It would have been very appropriate when the Ark was brought into Jerusalem or when Jesus entered Jerusalem or when Jesus and the disciples went from the Passover meal to Gethsemane.
