Psalms 119:133 Order my steps in Your Word; and do not let any iniquity rule over me.
Chronological Bible Reading for March 24
Joshua 5-8

Joshua 5:1 – The reports of Israel crossing the Jordan and it’s waters being held back were a witness to the inhabitants of the land of God’s power.
Joshua 5:8 – Now Israel is camped all this time nearby the city of Jericho and they are not attacked because of the fear of God in the hearts of the people in Canaan.
Joshua 6:1 – When Israel crossed the Jordan it was Spring time, the time for Passover. The stores of gain that had been stored by the Canaanites had been found and the new crop had not matured. Jericho was shut up from the time that Israel crossed the Jordan and probably was still eating on the old grain reserves.
Joshua 6:19 – God wants our tithe of the first of our increase. The first may mean best or the initial part as in this instance.
Joshua 7:7 – Joshua you sound like the multitude that do not have faith in Jehovah. The commands that you repeated must have been disobeyed. Moses would not have made such a claim of God’s intention; he would know that someone had disobeyed!
Joshua 7:11 – Intentionally disobeying God when you are called to be His servant has consequences. It is you yourself that has condemned you by the covetousness of your own heart.
Joshua 7:20 – Even though Achan admitted his sin and confessed his weakness to covetousness, he must pay the price for breaking the law given to protect the people.
Joshua 8:2 – Now that you have honored God with all the first fruits of Jericho the rest of the spoil is yours to divide.
Joshua 8:35 – This is the second time that the Law has been read to these people since their success on the east side of Jordan. A reminder of what God expects of us is good to keep us grounded and awake to our selfishness. God wants us to keep His Laws in our heart and teach them to our children. When we become selfish like Eve and want to be like God, He knows that we will forget His laws and not teach them to our children.
