Psalms 119:133 Order my steps in Your Word; and do not let any iniquity rule over me.
Chronological Bible Reading for March 12
Deuteronomy 3-4
Deuteronomy 3:1 – Moses recounts the evidence of God’s provision that they may trust His plan.
Deuteronomy 3:11 – This is a long bed being 13 1/2 feet but 72″ wide is more narrow than a king size. If the bed was meant for one person then Og certainly was a giant apparently being twice the stature of a modern man. Did his fear of Israel (Jehovah) cause him to retreat to Ammon?
Deuteronomy 3:26 – Oh Moses it was you that lost your temper and struck the rock instead of speaking to it. You are using the same excuse that Adam did when he ate of the fruit. This other was the cause of it.
Deuteronomy 3:27 – God gave Moses a glimpse of the land in which Israel will inherit.
Deuteronomy 4:2 – This verse gives credence to Revelation 22:19 which some say is not part of the original.
Deuteronomy 4:9 – This is the most difficult command to follow continually. Man’s thoughts are evil form his youth and must be kept under control. It is easy for man to veer away from the path that God has made for his salvation. It is most difficult to guide the next generation if you yourself cannot stay on the path. If not for God’s intervention and guidance, Israel would still be slaves, not preparing to enter into a land of milk and honey.
Deuteronomy 4:15 – Thus, Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
Deuteronomy 4:26 – Two witnesses (Heaven and earth in this case) were required to bring charges against a person.
Deuteronomy 4:28 – When you forget Jehovah you are going to begin to find another to worship.
Deuteronomy 4:29 – Once you leave God behind, you can turn back to Him. God is there, waiting for you to come to yourself just as the father was in the parable of the prodigal son.
Deuteronomy 4:39 – There is only one God. However He presents Himself in three ways, The Holy Spirit that guides us to Christ and indwells us as a down payment of salvation to be worthy of the title sons of God, Jesus Christ who became the perfect sacrifice for our sin and guided our worship to God the Father having been raised from the dead as we will be, and God the Father, the creator, worthy of all worship and honor because, He is Jehovah.
