Isaiah 5-8
Isaiah 5:1 – When God opens up a nation to honor His name and produce the fruit of it He expects a return of good fruit. God is not lazy in His preparation but is patient to see it grow. When it fails to produce good fruit then He breaks it down.
Isaiah 5:10 – It will begin to take more and more effort to produce only a little fruit. When God holds back His Grace there are few that look for it much less find it.
Isaiah 5:12 – Blind and ignorant by choice.
Isaiah 5:14 – The rejection of God does not have to be an active protest, we can just as easily reject God by ignoring His Word.
Isaiah 5:16 – What makes God so righteous that He can judge me? Dude He is the Creator of all the universe and most important He Is God.
Isaiah 5:19 – Those that want to see a sign are not going to believe it when they see it. Mat 12:39 But He answered and said to them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign. And there shall be no sign given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
Isaiah 5:26–30 – The punishment to these that reject God will come from outside. These invaders will come swiftly with great strength and power.
Isaiah 6:10 – These people do not protest against God they are just apathetic, they have heard this before, and they don’t see where they are headed. God will allow them their choice to ignore Him at their own peril. It is their choice.
Isaiah 7:8 – In Revelation 7:4–8 The tribe of Joseph is mentioned as having twelve thousand sealed but there is no mention of Ephraim. Jeremiah 7:15 And I will cast you out of My sight, as I have cast out all your brothers, the whole seed of Ephraim. Neither is Ephraim recorded returning from bondage in Babylon.
