II Timothy 2:15 Study earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
Chronological Bible Reading for December 19
Titus 1-3
Titus 1:10 – Those of the circumcision are representative of people that say you must do this or that in addition to believing in Christ to be saved. This mingling of diverse thoughts with the message that Christ brought, repent from sin (unbelief) and trust the sacrifice that Jesus made for our sin on the cross, is to be avoided.
Titus 1:11 – Both Jesus and the disciples called the demons to be silent even when they were speaking truth. A little falsehood amongst the truth steers the mind of the novice away from the truth.
Titus 1:12 – That was in the 6th century BC by Epimenides.
Titus 1:15 – Purity is the believing relationship between God and man. Believing the Gospel not in part but in the whole. Not as partially sufficient but as wholly sufficient.
Titus 3:3–7 – The Gospel in a nutshell. We are all sinners, God provided a redemption plan for us, we must follow that plan to be saved. Why follow that plan? God is GOD who are we to argue with Him? Just ask Job.
Titus 3–9 – It is easy to fall into strivings about the Law. That is why there are so many lawyers.
Titus 3:10 – Always give a warning about a person’s unrepentant behavior but don’t keep trying and trying because you will feel, prideful, that it was your work that brought them around not God’s work or that through your bickering he may have the outward appearance of righteousness but not have faith in Christ’s work but relying on his own.
