Ephesians 1:2 – This is such a sweet and loving greeting.
Ephesians 1:5 – Redemption through Christ’s suffering and death was in God’s plan from the beginning.
Ephesians 1:11 – God guides the actions of people so that His will is performed. He used Shalmaneser and Nebuchadnezzar to punish Israel and Judah for their unfaithfulness. He used Elizabeth and Mary to bring into the world the one preparing the way and the One that walked the Way. God’s deliberate actions through the use mankind are for the purpose of drawing people that have a heart for Him to Him in faith.
Ephesians 2:2 – The opening chapter that described God’s wondrous grace and how Paul was elated about the victory of Christians in Ephesus over their previous failing. This verse reminds us of the others that still continue to turn away from God and to the corruption of Satan.
Ephesians 2:8–9 – Our salvation is not through church membership or giving or doing good works. Our salvation is through God’s Grace to the faith of the sacrifice of His Son Jesus the Christ. That is, not of our own power but of the Mercy of God to us.
Ephesians 2:14 – Paul is using he middle wall of the temple that separated the court of the gentiles from the temple court as a metaphor for the new relationship between a gentile and God.
Ephesians 2:15 – The Law exposed Sin that broke the relationship between God and men. God showed Israel that broken relationship through the separation veil in the temple that only once per year could only one person go into with great preparation and sacrifice. Jesus paid the debt of Sin and made the relationship restorable if we want to have it.
Ephesians 4 – There is so much here to aid in the life of the believer. A person could take one subject a week and add it to their actions and life.
Ephesians 4:28 – CEV – If you are a thief, quit stealing. Be honest and work hard, so you will have something to give to people in need.
Ephesians 5:5 – To see the rotten fruit of the unbeliever shows that their heart is rotten also.
Ephesians 6:12 – When we here of this struggle the quote ususlly ends at “powers” but the rest of the verse is what Satan tries to hide from us. The world’s rulers that are against God and the scripture are even in our own nation that is designed to be Under God. The spiritual widkedness has shown its head in some of the major denominations that claim to honor God.
Ephesians 6:14 – Pull the truth of the gospel and the scriptures tightly around you so that you will not stumble when confronted with false interpretations. Your trust in God’s Word is the righteousness to protect your heart from their deceiving nature.

Ephesians 6:16 – Faith will protect you from the onslaught of temptations from any direction that it is held.
Ephesians 6:17 – Salvation is our, know so, hope in God’s plan of redemption. It keeps our mind on track to His plan and can turn away temptations aimed to defile God’s plan. All these before are defensive tools but the last is both defensive and offensive, the Word of God. Direct blows can be deflected and the Word cuts like a sharp two edged sword on both the fore swing and backswing.
Ephesians 6:18 – Keep in good communication with our Commander.
Ephesians 6:19 – The soldier does not only fight but helps to train and defend other soldiers so that they can be able to withstand the temptations and corruptions of Satan.
