Bible Reading for October 7 (ONPP)
Hebrews 10 – 11, Psalms 90
. . .
Hebrews 10:1 – It’s like renting, you never finish paying because the payment made is never enough. But when you buy with the full amount there is no more payment needed.
Hebrews 10:19 – The sacrifice of Christ, the perfect Lamb of God without sin, opens up the veil to all who wish to worship God in spirit and truth. His resurrection from His death is the evidence of God’s consecration of that sacrifice and Christ’s position as High Priest.
Hebrews 10:29 – If we don’t love God this verse should be enough of a warning to us that we would want to honor Him and His plan for redemption and through our honor He will continue to give us love for Him.
Hebrews 11:1 – Faith is having a friend call to schedule a meeting somewhere and you arriving at the appointed place and time. As Able offered a blood sacrifice, as Noah built the Ark, as Abraham left Ur, As Moses went to Pharaoh to secure Israel’s freedom, we have faith that Jesus is the Son of God and the only path to Heaven, not by words only but by actions and witnesses.
Hebrews 11:6 – I. Believe God is II. Diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:7 – Noah’s faith was salvation to his family while the other’s lack of faith was to their condemnation.
Hebrews 11:22 – Did he remember the future? No, he remembered the promise told to Abraham and in faith made plans for it.
Hebrews 11:38 – The world denies faith, denies God, denies sin, and is denied the salvation that is offered. No wonder hell has enlarged itself, and opened its mouth without measure; and their glory, and their multitude, and their pride, and he who rejoices in her, shall go down into it. (Isaiah 5:14)
Psalms 90:2 – Moses is restating what he wrote in Genesis. God is there always.
Psalms 90:12 – Keep track of your days young man for you may turn around and your children will be grown and gone. Take the time to see what is going on around you.
Psalms 90:7 – Father God, reflect your Glory in us and guide us daily in what you have for us to do.
