Bible Reading for November 27 (ONPP)
Amos 7 – 9, Psalms 134
Amos 7:1 – God gave Amos these visions as He told Abraham about Sodom. God always knows what He will do and He wants us to see Him as someone we can discuss things over with and understands us.
Amos 7:17 – God does not put up with those that are attempting to interfere with His Word. (Henry’s Commentary) – Stopping the mouths of God’s ministers will not stop the progress of God’s word, for it shall not return void.
Amos 8:5 – These people care so little about worshiping God that they are anxious to get back to their god of buying and selling.
Amos 8:7 – This prophecy may have had a fulfillment in the time of Amos but it is also reflected to be fulfilled in the Great Tribulation.
Amos 8:14 – Like Ephraim, Dan is also not mentioned in Revelation 7:5–8.
Amos 9:2 – No underground bunker or colony on Mars is safe. There is only safety in trusting in the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross.
Amos 9:13 – In today’s agriculture when the harvest is made, the seeder is not far behind, putting in the next crop for profit or winter cover. So at the time of the prophecy fulfillment there will be plenty of nutrition, water and sunlight for the multi–crop agriculture.
