Bible Reading for March 26 (ONPP)
Deuteronomy 31 – 34, Psalms 73

Deuteronomy 31:2 – Moses is unable to make the daily trips from his tent to the tabernacle.
Deuteronomy 31:16 – God is not deceived that Israel will continually follow His plan. He knows that their heart will turn to themselves thinking they know better than God and will go their own way.
Deuteronomy 31:18 – God will hide His face because they will turn away. To see God again they must see the reflection of Him in another’s face. This may help them to come to themselves to to turn and seek God’s face before He will show it. Notice that it would be God that would send the other for them to “see” (listen to God’s Word) His reflection that they may turn around (repent of sin) to see God’s Glory.
Deuteronomy 31:20 – When we are full and at ease we need to be watchful that our heart does not turn away from God because to become complacent with life invites disaster.
Deuteronomy 31:28 – Again Moses calls two to witness this that here may be an appropriate conviction when they forsake God.
Deuteronomy 32:15 – Jeshurun is a symbolic word for Israel (and possibly Jerusalem?).
Deuteronomy 32:51 – One little mistake and Moses must pay the price. The mistake was not little it misrepresented what God was showing. When they came to the Rock of Kadesh the first time, Moses struck it, representing the single crucifixion of Jesus. When they returned God told Moses to speak to the Rock to get the water as we are to speak in the name of Jesus to receive salvation. There is no need to crucify Christ again as is reiterated in Hebrews 9:23–28.
Psalms 73:6 – When everything is going well we give ourselves credit. When we are strong enough to overcome the world we don’t give God the credit for His gift to us of overcoming.
Psalms 73:17 – When you turn to God you see, in sadness, that those that don’t are bound for hell.
