Bible Reading for June 20 (ONPP)
II Chronicles 28 – 30, Proverbs 25
II Chronicles 28:3 – Daddy did not teach the boy well and/or Ahaz followed after the people and not his father or God.
II Chronicles 28:5 – The results of disobedience. The BIG IF again shows its truth.
II Chronicles 28:13 – There are a few that still fear Jehovah God even though they do not worship Him.
II Chronicles 28:27 – God only allowed Ahaz to reign long enough for his son to grow up and take his place.
II Chronicles 29:19 – If King Ahaz had cast the Holy Vessels away then someone was faithful enough to collect them and preserve them for future worship.
II Chronicles 29:36 – The people were prepared, the Levites were prepared, but the Priests were not.
II Chronicles 30:2 – The laziness of the priests caused a delay in the celebration but God had provided for that also. This also allowed many more people to come and renew their relationship with God.
II Chronicles 30:9 – Another part of the BIG IF, a repentant heart receives mercy.
II Chronicles 30:10–11 – The good news of the celebration fell on some as seeds on the road but in others the news sprouted and grew strong.
II Chronicles 30:19 – It is better to obey God than sacrifice many offerings.
II Chronicles 30:20 – The Lord healed their uncleanness because their heart was to seek God and honor Him. Again the blessings of the BIG IF is shown to the people.
Proverbs 25:7 – Jesus said the same thing about choosing an eating place at a dinner.
Proverbs 25:14 – It’s like going to church and calling yourself a Christian without having any of the fruit of the Spirit. Taking the name of the Lord “Christ” in vain (without any dedication).
Proverbs 25:24 –
Proverbs 21:9 It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop than with a quarrelsome woman and to share a house.
Proverbs 21:19 It is better to dwell in the wilderness than with a quarrelsome and angry woman.
Proverbs 27:15 A never–ending dropping in a very rainy day and a quarrelsome woman are alike.
