Psalms 119:133 Order my steps in Your Word; and do not let any iniquity rule over me.
Bible Reading for June 14 (ONPP)
Acts 26 – 28, Psalms 141
Acts 26:1 – God gives Paul the opportunity to give the gospel message to rulers, kings, soldiers, and people. All being in the same need of a savior but many not recognizing it, and others putting it off until the message is lost to them.
Acts 26:14 – Some people need to be metaphorically shoved to the ground in their life to stop and hear God’s message. When Paul realized God’s forgiveness he also realized his own great debt in sin.
Acts 27:33 – Fasting must have been a culture wide way of appealing to their gods to intervene when they were in peril.
Acts 28:2 – Even those people that do not know God can do good works.
Acts 28:10 – Interesting that there is no mention of Paul denying their belief of him being a god. I’m sure that he did and also gave the good news of salvation to them several times as they brought the sick to be healed.
Acts 28:22 – Just as the church in Ephesus, as revealed in Revelation, these chief men of the Jews wanted to test the message that Paul had compared to the scripture.
Acts 28:30 – Paul was able to rent accommodations for himself and presumably for the Roman guard(s) that kept him for two years.
Psalms 141:3 – David really did not want to be quick to speak and wanted God to lead his conversation, as, should, we.
