Along with many named individuals and many that brought food for the feast.
I Chronicles 14:12 – David does the right thing here. He does not take the idols into his house or keep them for treasure, He burns them destroying the things that had in the past been left to cause the people to waver from following God and turn to evil idols.
I Chronicles 14:14 – God tells David to wait for His signal. We also need to wait for God’s signal. Sometimes He gives us the signal quickly as in verse 10 but sometimes He wants us to wait until the way is prepared for us. We should not be idle in waiting. We should keep our sword (God’s Word) sharp (fresh in our heart), our training current, and our strength renewed.
Psalms 130:1 – The Lord is so merciful to us, His unyielding clay, working with us because He sees the possibility of a great work in our flexibility in His hands. Thus we must change our heart to bend to Him.
Psalms 130:6 – The psalmist was watching for the Messiah as we watch for the rapture. Also as those in the Great Tribulation will be watching for the Glorious Appearing of Christ with the Church to bring an end to the Tribulation.
Psalms 130:7–8 – Another example of the fruit of the BIG If that God has decreed.
