Psalms 119:133 Order my steps in Your Word; and do not let any iniquity rule over me.
Bible Reading for January 25 (ONPP)
Matthew 12, Psalm 21
Matthew 12:2 – This parallels the reaction of the Jews in John 5.
Matthew 12:11 – Jesus appeals to their human side of the pursuit of wealth. But Jesus is doing this for the love of family.
Matthew 12:15 – He healed them all. Not just a few that were good citizens, but all those that came to Him regardless of their past. Yes maybe even a few Pharisees.
Matthew 12:18–21 – A prophecy fulfilled from Isaiah 42:1–4.
Matthew 12:43 – Just as when someone wants to make a profession of faith to save themselves from Hell. It is a works mentality. They will rely on their walk down the isle and baptism to save them but they have no salvation from walking and getting wet. Salvation is a new birth of the heart to trust in the sacrifice of Jesus the Christ.
Psalms 21:8 – Observe the description of his enemies. They are such as hate him. They hated David because God had set him apart for himself, hated Christ because they hated the light; but both were hated without any just cause, and in both God was hated, John 15:23, John 15:25.
