Job 21-23
Job 21:7 – The happiness of the wicked on Earth is the closest they will get to Heaven because they are on the path to Torment.
Job 21:9 – The rod is not taken to another’s child to correct them. These wicked are children of Satan by choice and have turned away from God. A good parent will discipline their child to honor God and punish them when they are disobedient.
Job 21:30 – Just as the rich man in Luke ch 16 the wicked are walking toward their own punishment for eternity.
Job 22:2 – The profitability of a wise man is to seek God.
	 Rom 3:10 as it is written: “There is none righteous, no not one;
Rom 3:11 there is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God.” {Psalm 143:2 among others)
	 Therefore, God is the initiator of our curiosity and faith to seek Him
Job 22:3 – It is God’s pleasure to impart righteousness to those that believe Him. Eliphaz was not present at the beginning of the book when God used Job as an upright and righteous example to Satan. Yes Eliphaz, God does find pleasure in our righteousness for it comes from Him.
Job 22:5-10 – Many times I have seen people accuse their opponent of the things that they had actually done themselves. wonder if Eliphaz is guilty of the accusations he pours on Job?
Job 22:12 – Eliphaz realizes that heaven is beyond the stars yet God still watches and cares for us.
Job 22:16 – Eliphaz recognizes the flood as a historical fact. He believes in God but does not recognize God’s power.
Job 23:3–6 – To go to the Judge to state your case is not the answer the answer is to beg for mercy to an all–powerful and loving God. In verse 6 Job is setting himself up for God’s response later in the book.
Job 23:7 – But Job, there is none righteous except the only begotten Son of God, Jesus the Christ. Is Job considering the promised redeemer? The seed through Eve whose father is not Adam but God?
Job 23:10 – Before gold comes out there is fire to separate the impurities. I feel that Job does realize that.
