Psalms 40:6 – Some say it is better to ask of forgiveness than permission. David is saying that it is better to understand and do the things that your leader wants you to do and stay away from what is forbidden rather than making yourself more important than him and fulfilling your own lusts.
Psalms 40:8 – This is how to act toward leadership.
Psalms 40:10 – Not only should you understand your leadership’s will but you are responsible to make sure that others hear it also.
Psalms 61:3 – God is our shelter as Jesus is the door to the sheepfold.
Psalms 61:4 – Also when Jesus came into Jerusalem He said that He would gather them under His wing as a mother hen. Luke 13:4
Psalm 64 – Yes Lord! These backbiters and spreaders of false tales are crafty but You my Lord confuse their speech and reveal their plot so that they are lost in their own narrative and people flee to Your righteous representatives.
Psalms 64:7 – God is in control of casting lots as well as random arrows.
2Ch 18:33 And a certain man drew a bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joinings and the breastplate. And he said to the charioteer, Turn your hand, and you shall bring me out of the army, for I am wounded.
