II Timothy 2:15 Study earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
Chronological Bible Reading for August 12
Jeremiah 18-22

Jeremiah 18:1–4 – We are not made by ourselves, God will work and mold us in the way that He wants, and in the way our material can be handled at the time. The BIG IF is that if we continue to be unyielding we will be thrown out for a better lump. The Potter made another vessel from the first ruined one, not necessarily another type but maybe another of the same type. Not only does the clay represent an individual but also, a nation.
Jeremiah 18:8 – There.. is that BIG IF that God has promised to honor. Become pliable in Jehovah’s hands and let Him mold you in the way that you can serve Him to His liking. It should not be what I want but what He wants of me.
Jeremiah 18:10–12 – There is the other side of the BIG IF, the result of dishonoring God. God has not changed His mind. We have turned away from His guidance and will not be molded to serve His purpose.
Jeremiah 18:16 – What a shame. They had the land handed over to them, plentiful harvests, protection from their enemies, and the best place from which to glorify God, yet they traded it all in to worship useless idols made of wood, bronze, silver, entertainment, and status.
Jeremiah 18:18 – Ezekiel shows the people in captivity are saying the opposite of this statement in ch 7:26.
Jeremiah 19:5 – These people performed post birth abortion, or more straightforward they murdered their children for religion. Were they trying to recreate the Passover in Egypt without protection or were they trying to offer what is most precious to try to appease the god of this world (Satan) to keep them safe.
Jeremiah 20:8 – Jeremiah’s words from God were not received with fear but hatred. Jesus’s words were not received by the leadership with fear but hatred. God’s Word of forgiveness today is also hated because their self–righteousness will not allow them to believe in their sin, the need to have a ransom paid for it, or that the ransom was insuficient for payment.
Jeremiah 20:10 – This is the second time Jeremiah has prophesied the time of Israel’s return. And in Isaiah 44:28 “who says of Cyrus, He is My shepherd, and shall do all My pleasure; even saying to Jerusalem, You shall be built; and to the temple, Your foundation shall be laid.”
Jeremiah 20:10–11 – Yes Lord let also those that want to harm your people be lost in their actions and unable to do them harm.
Jeremiah 20:14–18 – Job had the same feeling in chapter 3 when he was struck with sickness.
Jeremiah 21:9 – God is giving them a narrow path to follow. A path with only two choices just like in the Garden of Eden. A path for life and a path for death. To leave the defiled city and live or stay and die. It all depends on whether you believe God or not.
Jeremiah 22:4 – God is so merciful to the line of David. Even now if they would turn back to Him the kingdom would not be totally lost and the House of David will still stand.
Jeremiah 22:30 – Remember the IF in I Kings 2:4 or I Kings 8:25 or II Chronicles 6:16. David’s descendants failed.
