II Timothy 2:15 Study earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
Chronological Bible Reading for August 10
Jeremiah 10-13
Jeremiah 10:2 – Asteroids come close to earth, the Sun throws out large flares and CME’s, Beetlejuice is nearing its massive explosion of death, yet fear not God is in charge.
Jeremiah 10:3–5 – Many people now go out and make gods for themselves out of pleasure and pride. They may not cut trees but they have trophies and trinkets of their accomplishments that they always go back to and venerate. Where God is the giver of all things, life, breath, sustenance and salvation. It is the pride of these that worship other gods that keep them from getting past the temporal and not proceeding to the eternal.
Jeremiah 10:21 – I have personally met pastors that do not know the word and will spout sayings in their pride of self without studying to see if it conforms with God’s revelation in the Bible. They do not rightly divide the Word. They should study to find themselves approved.
Jeremiah 10:23 – Man cannot walk in righteousness himself he does not search for a path toward God but wanders from belief to belief without a standard of truth to guide him.
Jeremiah 11:10–11 – When we turn away from God to rely on our own self we lose His protection and His fellowship.(“our own self” wow is that us trying to be our own trinity?)
Jeremiah 11:12 – These things that people venerate in their lives have no power to protect them. No rabbit’s foot (unlucky for the rabbit), crystal (a rock) or other item has no power to help them.
Jeremiah 11:19 – In The Parable of the Tenants the vinedressers were going to kill the son of the owner so that they could inherit the land.
Jeremiah 11:21 – So many people don’t want to hear the Word of God. They chastise those that have the courage to speak in God’s favor and want to remove them from society.
Jeremiah 12:2 – There are those that speak about God but do not have the actions in their life that show that those words effect their dealings with others.
Jeremiah 12:14 – God warns the other nations not to covet the land that He has reserved for His people because He will make a total destruction of them for their covetousness.
Jeremiah 12:16 – The BIG IF applies to all people. Those that believe God will prosper while those that don’t will be destroyed.
Jeremiah 13:4 – The Euphrates is over 300 miles from Jerusalem so Jeremiah had a long journey to make going there and back.
Jeremiah 13:6 – Jeremiah must now go back to the Euphrates to retrieve the girdle that he so carefully hid there.
Jeremiah 13:16 – God gives us a direction and a warning here, give God the Glory and not our own pride so that we will not turn to the path of destruction.
Jeremiah 13:22 – This question is made by many, Why?, Job was a good example. He honored God in his life till he “lost it all” and instead of honoring God he sat in his own pity crying out “Why?” until he heard the majesty and power of God’s voice that brought him into repentance. There is none righteous, no not one.
