Psalms 119:133 Order my steps in Your Word; and do not let any iniquity rule over me.
Chronological Bible Reading for April 22
Psalms 6, 8-10, 14, 16, 19, 21
Psalms 6:10 – David is praying for someone he loves that they may be ashamed rather than a gentile enemy to be destroyed.
Psalms 8:3–4 – The great majesty of God in contrast to the iniquity of the speck of man.
Psalms 10:4 – The wicked will not seek after God. Our pride in our selves keeps us from honoring God as the source of our life. We begin to think of ourselves as more important while we desire to limit God’s influence in our lives. When we advise and direct others, we become more accountable to God to give them the advice that would lead them closer to Him and not glorify ourselves.
Psalms 10:5 – The wicked can’t even see that there is a God to be worshiped except themselves. They blind themselves with their own desires.
Psalms 10:13 – The wicked do not want judgement. They will tell you not to judge them but they judge themselves because they reject God’s precepts. Their claim of being judged by someone is false. One does not judge whether an apple tree is an apple tree, it just is, because it produces apples. These wicked also judge God as Job began to do until he heard from God.
Psalms 14:3 – Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, each one to his own way; and Jehovah has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
. . . Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,
Psalms 14:7 – prophecy also from Leviticus 26:14-46 concerning captivity!
Psalms 16:2 – For all have sinned ad come short of the glory of God.
Psalms 16:8–11 – This is so comforting.
Psalms 19:1 – We have no excuse in not recognizing God because of His handiwork of creation.
Psalms 19:3 – All people have the knowledge of the creation. It is right before them.
Psalms 19:10 – The judgments of the Lord are sweeter than honey and better than gold.
Psalms 19:13 – The sin of presumption, of innocence, of ability, of self, … Job had some of this yet he also knew of God’s righteousness. The model prayer tells us to ask the Lord to not let us be led by temptation.
Psalms 19:14 – David recognizes that God is the redeemer and requests his words and his hearts desires be acceptable to God.
Psalms 21:8 – Observe the description of his enemies. They are such as hate him. They hated David because God had set him apart for himself, hated Christ because they hated the light; but both were hated without any just cause, and in both God was hated, John 15:23, John 15:25.
