Bible Reading for August 25 (ONPP)
Isaiah 22 – 24, Psalms 53
Isaiah 22:1 – The prophecy related to Jerusalem’s fall 150 years later.
Isaiah 22:3 – In II Kings 25:4 this occurs.
Isaiah 22:8 – Isaiah comes back to the near time for this prophecy.
Isaiah 23:15 – As Jerusalem was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar, so was Tyre and it is assumed that along with the Jews the Tyrians were also released by Cyrus.
Isaiah 23:17 – God returned the Tyrians home as He did the Jews.
Isaiah 24:1 – Isaiah describes what God is going to do when The Messiah returns to rule.
Isaiah 24:23 – The moon will be as red as blood and the sun will be dark.
Psalms 53:3 – In Isaiah it says we have turned to our own way but the Lord hath laid on Him (Jesus) (the scape goat) the iniquity of us all. Jesus is both the scape goat and the goat of sacrifice for our sin. Lev 16:6–10 How is that possible? He died for our sin and then was resurrected to take them away.
