II Corinthians 7 - 9, Psalms 33
Therefore
I rejoice
that I have
confidence
in you in
everything.
II Corinthians 7:9 – The harsh word that results in repentance is joyful to the giver and receiver.
“Ecclesiastes 7:5 It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise than for a man to hear the song of fools.”
II Corinthians 8:3 – These Christians in Macedonia gave willingly to the point they did not have enough left for themselves and suffered for it in gladness.
II Corinthians 8:9 – How was He rich? He came from Heaven as part of the Godhead which all things belonged to Him.
II Corinthians 8:11 – Paul exhorts the Corinthians to complete the pledge they made as the Macedonians did.
II Corinthians 8:14 – We are all equal in God's eyes, needing to be redeemed from sin unto righteousness.
II Corinthians 9:2–3 – Paul tells them how their promise to help the believers in Jerusalem has encouraged others to give over and above their ability and now it is nearly time to collect and transfer those gifts to Jerusalem. Paul sent others ahead so that the Corinthians would not be unprepared for the collection.
II Corinthians 9:15 – The free gift of grace did not come cheap but required the perfect sacrifice for it to be available for all.
Psalms 33 – This is such a beautiful insight to the heart of God.
